2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
RRS Fest at Glenshee Ski Centre

Today I did one of those "great day's out" type drives on nearly empty very fast roads in fantastic scenery:
Left home at 0730 to Stirling on the A811, up the M9 and A9 to Perth, then A9 up to Pitlochry and turn off A9 onto the A924 cross the mountains to Kirkmichael then onto the A93 to Braemar via Glenshee. Stopped at the Ski Centre for breakfast at 9am and there were 2 Java RRS's another Stornoway and an Alaska White RRS in the carpark with drivers and passengers getting kitted up for a day skiing and snowboarding on the little bit of snow still remianing.
0945, again on the A93, Glenshee to Braemar and then on to Crathie Kirk near Balmoral (yes the "royal" Crathie Kirk) in time for Church and my 9 month old Australian nephew's christening at 11:30.
Left the partying at my sister-in-law's parents farm at 4pm to drive home via the A93 all the way to Perth instead of going over the tops and onto the A9. Stepped in the door at 6:15pm
220 miles covered - average mpg 28.7, average speed 55.7mph for the round trip.

Wonder if any of those RRS owners having a nice day at Glenshee are members here? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Great drive up there, was there last summer with Victor, we did think of going up that way on saturday as Vic wanted to go snowboarding, planning on the one at Ranoch moor on the way back to Alex on Wed/thursday. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

There wasn't a lot of snow up there on Sunday Al, Glencoe may keep it longer as it is north facing but I don't know if the lifts are working these days. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
