Never heard that before on a D3. The intake pipe is a rigid plastic pipe, attached to a steel pipe, with only a 3 inch long rubber pipe, that I have never seen split before...

If you have a Britpart dealer local to you, they come boxed as OEM.
Normally don't endorse Britpart, but when it's OEM, and less than half the price, you cant go wrong

| Basically the same as the D3, but some of the connectors will be in a different position on an 07>MY, and you have the autobox cable, instead of a manual gearlever and clutch pipe etc |

There is a modified rod and bolt available. It would be worth freeing it off first, and if its OK, have the new rod fitted.
