There are a couple on here (myself included) for whom the knock from the rear is the chassis dampeners swinging and hitting the (modified/aftermarket) exhaust. Worth a look and cheap to test/fix.

Our 05 RRS has some aftermarket mufflers fitted (they were there when we bought it) and the damping weights do indeed knock against the mufflers over various bumps and bits of road.
