Sgs engineering also do replacement gas struts....... They do a part number match, a little more expensive @ £18 but not a lot in the scheme of things !
Have bought their trolley jacks and axle stand ... |

| mine opens with very little effort, once the latch is released hardly any assistance required, i even tend to hold on to it so it doesn't open too quickly. |

| i must admit i favour Meguiars products, always use the water magnet for drying, can normally get most of the car done before i have to wring it out... never leaves any water marks. Easy to clean also ... |
