You should have no problem fitting a 275/45R20 in the spare tyre well - it will fit a 285/50R20.
The Cooper Zeon LTZ's are readily available in those sizes in Oz.

If you replace a height sensor unit, you'll need to (at some stage) re-calibrate the suspension via a diagnostic tool.

Seems there are two version: std has no low range or rock/crawl. Optionally you can have the two-speed transfer case + rock-crawl and locking rear diff.

I thought the Explorer was only the petrol V6 - do you mean the Territory.

JLR + PSA do not supply replacement parts for the bottom end of the TDV6 engine. You cannot buy pistons, rings, main bearings or big end bearings.

As the braking system doesn't have ability to apply one brake at a time as far as I know,
When activated by the traction control system, yes it does.
