I thought the speed limit on the SC was because the tyres couldn't take it? Basically we have spent the last 4 months developing a tool to communicate with the canBUS data network on the car and so we can now 'configure' any TDV6 to accept the TC modification as if it were a LR engine management software file.

Huh? 115mph top speed? you're talking in reality at the actual wheels yeah? I have got mine up to 120mph and slightly above on a few ocassions now(at the speedo), but i know the speedo may be off and you're really travelling slightly below that what the reading says. Isn't the official LR figure 120mph though? I don't think i would want to go 133mph in my 2.5t RRS, although if i got a good long run, Oh and i did the above on a private road/track Honest!? |

I believe the S/C is limited to 139 mph, (or is it 139 gallons per mile; sometimes I forget).

yep standard 19" HSE wheels, i'll have to get my camera phone out and a long stretch of road and prove it to you then? my speedo is definately showing past the 120 mark, yeah granted its completely out of puff then, but still.. 120 is a whole 5mph above 115mph, although i still think the speedo is probably off and the actual speed at the wheels is probably the claimed 115mph as what you are saying. |
