i have been told that the phone line is tagged by the ISP and when i change to another ISP it can take ages to get the tag removed before i will be able to use the connection with the new ISP, is this a load of B

not necessarily bo**ocks - my Mother just went through a 6 week changeover period due to such tagging

There's sometimes a short drop in service (no more than an hour or so) and sometimes you don't notice it ever went away. The process is all meant to happen within the same piece of workflow... not to say things don't go wrong of course and you are left stranded, but that's the small minority. |

Cheers if i dont have any joy over the next couple of days with my ISP then i might change them, but it all depends on whether we are moving house or not as it may be a waste of time just for a few more months, just live with it for now i suppose |

Thanks for your help K and S after doing some sorting today with settings and talking to my ISP things seem to be back to normal, i have to wait until May before we know if we are moving house, if not i will definatley be changing my ISP and will look at the ones you guys are using. If i do move i doubt that i will get BB anyway |
