just watched 5 news - two guys looking through someones personally belongings saying they are keeping it - the owner has got insurance Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad sorry, but they need a slap!!!!

from what I can gather they are on dangerous ground anyway - the law relates to property washed up on the coast where the origin is unknown - not as in this case

For once I am pleased the TV cameras were down there filming all the people taking the property that 'belongs to someone else' - give the police something to work with

MDP - the wine barrels were empty - sorry Wink

The motorbikes had to be assembled, but on the 10pm news they interviewed a guy who had a complete one. What I want to know is how will they register them, or is it going to be more untaxed uninsured drivers. They spoke to a couple of chavs who had an M5 steering wheel, I roared with laughter when they were asked if they had an M5 - they are probably looking to knick one as we speak Evil or Very Mad

the bikes will be broken down and sold off as parts I would imagine - all the people should be named and shamed IMO

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Alaska White

Its only taken 2 days for the Receiver of Wrecks and the Police to get there arses in gear.

Probably a good job the Press were there reporting it otherwise the Old Bill would still be eating doughnuts in the local cafe.

Its theft and weve all watched going on for the last 2 days. MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

There's nothing illegal about it as long as you declare the goods to the official receiver. Left on the beach most of this stuff will suffer further damage when the tides come in/ go out so why not? I draw the line however with the personal belongings of families which were being shipped overseas - some respect should be shown to this stuff even if it has all been wrecked by sea water. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

The police are closing the beach today, so this will stop.
On GMT this morning, they interviewed some guys who had a BMW motorbike and it took them 7 hours to get it off the beach!
....and a farmer who got some John Deere oil filters for his tractor and some more BMW car parts. Looks like eBay is going to be a wash ( Shocked ) with BMW parts during the next few weeks. Matt

Aside from the morals of it all, I never heard why/how the ship actually ran aground. Anyone know why?

The ship ran into difficulty in the storm last week - they ran the thing aground on purpose otherwise it would be on the bottom of the sea by now! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
