I think smugmug is having a problem, or maybe they are doing their regular maintenance.

Aha! here is what they say:

I hope the "temporary" problem hasn't ended up with your site content disappearing. I ran a fan site some years ago and the hosting firm saw fit to accidentally delete all my content after some form of blip with the system. Obviously I had a backup, but I was not a happy Shmoogle.

Ouch, that's a horrible experience.

Smugmug is one of the biggest names in the business, I'm sure they won't do that kind of thing.
