Safe surfing software

Help please. My kids are now getting to an age when I need to make sure they don't see any nasties on their pcs. Could someone reccommend a cheap/free software package to stop them seeing sites that they shouldn't. I know google has safe search facilities but I think it's time for more protection.

Thanks 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Try NetNanny - I've heard good reports of that. I think you can download an eval from their site.... www.netnanny.com.

VA, I've just googled "parental control software" and got 1,640,000 hits! Here's a link to a website where they review a few of them:
http://www.monitoringsoftwarereviews.org/?...EAod93RDFg

Cybersitter and Netnanny don't come out too well in the write-ups. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
