2,.7 TDV6 with remap i think pushes out about 230-250 bhp, Turbo chip is a resident sponsor on this site, and they seem to beable to offer a good remap service, lots of members have had this done.

The S/C does 0-60 in 7.6sec - pretty good for shifting 2.6tonnes along the road......................... but 15mpg on a good day, do you want that or even the horrendous emissions (think taxation and future plans to tax them even more). The S/C is the one to go for though if you can stand the running costs! If you are in no hurry, though, order a TDv8 which has nigh on S/C performance but at 25+ mpg BUT you would have to order now for delivery sometime between April and June, if you are lucky! For factory orders of the TDv6 you would still be looking at March/April delivery if you ordered now, according to my local dealer....................... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Diesel it is then! Definitely worth waiting for the TDV8 though, if you can. |

For a decent drive, i would go out and have a go in an RRS TDV6 HSE with 10k or so on the clock, and really give it some welly, and you will see what the RRS will be like after a while of ploughing some miles onto it.. then imagine a bit more power from a Turbochip hike. (most people report that the TDV6 gets quicker the more miles you put on the clock, including myself with my old TDV6).. But drive the TDV8 and see how it compares. TDV6 could be made available from March or so, or for cancelled orders, you could try Ian Patterson at: www.findmyrangerover.com he is a good guy, has loads of stuff that he knows about which can be made available shortly. Tell us more about your 996T mate, have someone looking at a C4S 996 right now, im trying to get them to just take a Turbo (better on residuals etc..) but they aren't considering it for some reason, whats ur spec, how much you looking to get rid of it for.. |

If it helps i changed my 997 carrera s for a tdv6 and even though the pace is slower i have never felt like the car was too slow. I am now waiting for the tdv8 as my rrs is now one year old. Come to think about it if you fancy a tdv6 in Buckingham with ebony interior for the dealer part ex price give me a shout. |
