2006 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver

RR Sport V8 Diesel Delays

Have been told my car will be delayed due to short supply of the new engine. Car had a build slot for next week with delivery around the 13 Dec but now looking at build approx 8 Dec with delivery early Jan 07.

Anyone else had the same news?

I was originally given a late January date but now looking at sometime in Feb.
I was more shocked at the extra I need to pay...hope it's worth it! Rob

Very few, if any, V8 Diesels will be available before 1st of Jan... RRS TDV8 HSE - Hybrid TV - Sunroof - Adaptive Front Headlights - Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 system

Same story for me. Originally promised an early december delivery, now told that due to shortages of TDV8 engines, mine wont be available until late December.

It sounds to me that the orders for the TDV8 FFRR have been higher than expected so more of the TDV8 production is going to satisfy that demand, with the RRS supply delayed as a result...... RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

There is a problem with the supply of V8 Deisels into Land Rover. Because of this they have decided to prioritise FFRR orders. Some RRS TDV8's will still be built, but no where near the numbers originally planned.

Hopefully normal service will be resumed in January. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Theres no problem with supply of the new TDV8 engines.

2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

Mine was built 14 Nov but won't be available for collection until 06 Dec 06.

This delay, I'm told, is partly due a couple of 'holds' (faults I guess found in quality control) and the fact they haven't been officially launched yet.

Can't wait to drive it. Driving - TDV8 HSE in Stornaway / Ebony / Brunel

haha.. does wonders for demand/residuals though dunnit! So wonder if this was a planned way now that LR are getting clever with supply/prices.. etc..

This is definately not planned Kam, Land Rover arn't that clever.

There are rumours that the production lines may be stood down before Christmas due to this shortage of engines. Not the sort of news you need at this time of year if you have young families.
