Does the bleed system operate on the Autel - like start and finish as it would give an error that it cant start due to a fault code.

Did you top up the fluid also?

Yes, topped up. It does start and runs for 12 minutes before completing however it says routine failed and to check the fault codes. The fault code of course is the original hydraulic pressure code.

Sorry the link bars need removing as per the manual so it can rock around, my mistake..

So 2 options we can either follow the manual remove link bars etc or top the fluid up - drive around for 15 mins and the check if you have the yellow or red warning light come on.

We then need to check the actual anti roll bars and try to manually bleed the front and rear - fluid should literally spurt out due to the pressure in both - if no fluid in one of them there is an issue.

You could reverse vacuum all the fluid out the system and put clean fluid back in - so almost like a flush as dirty fluid can cause the sensors to spin out.

If we get fluid out of both anti roll bars - I would swap the main valve unit and drive around again - making sure to check the fluid is full - it should always be full whether the pump is running or not.

I doubt it is the pump as usually when they go - you can hear it smash inside and the drive belt will also snap.

It has to be either an air lock or the valve block as that is the only component that has the sensors and spits out error codes.

Thanks for your reply. I think at this point it makes sense to try another replacement valve block. There was clearly an issue in the first instance which started all this off and it sounds as though the valve block is the most likely candidate.

Are there multiple part numbers that fit the L494? If so, I will have to remove mine first.

Yes I’d do that first.

No matey all fit - I think the part code on older models was FPLA then later it was CPLA -
So if you can get a CPLA as this will be from a newer L494 if your buying from eBay.
