Rear diff pinion seal - leakage and fix

Has anyone had to have a rear diff pinion seal replaced?
We have a 71-plate on just shy if 42k miles and have spotted some oil drips on the drive.

Sticking the car in offroad allowed me to see the rear diff with a sheen of gear oil over it, coming from the leading end (i.e. not from the drain plug).

Will be phoning the local indie for a check, but can't think what else it may be.

Anyone with recent experience, what sort of costs? I can see seal replacement kits for about £150, and Google-Fu suggests around 4-5hrs of labour.

I think it’s quite a common problem on these cars. I got mine replaced with my aftermarket warranty in 2022. The invoice price from my specialist was £611 so not the end of the world considering it’s a LR product.
