Steering wheel left side buttons inoperative. L494

Apologies if this question has been listed here already but I can't see anything similar.
My RRS L494 2014 now doesn't work the left side steering wheel controls. Very occasionally one key press (eg vol up or down) belatedly brings up a different function (eg phone) but not reliably. Anyone had this and any ideas for a fix?

Try disconnecting the battery for ten minutes and then reconnect…
You’ll find it should reset…

Cheers. That won't have any other consequences will it?

It shouldn’t do… we had the same issue … it was cured by the battery disconnect…
Worked perfectly afterwards… hoping it works for you!

Cheers. I'll try it. Also saw a post on a North America RR website saying the left side buttons for this vehicle were part of a recall. If you google LTB00584NAS5 you can see it. Is there any way to see if this is also part of the RR UK service website? I think its maybe a known problem but I don't know how to make the case to the local RR main agent (since end of warranty its been serviced by a LR independent garage). Is there any UK website that has this detail you know of?

I am chasing this problem, left hand controls not working.
Initially GAP showed a fault with the left hand control, I swapped the left hand buttons, cleared the fault and rescanned.
It has now swapped to the right hand control being at fault.
I have swapped the right hand control for another, but the left is still not working.
I have checked the steering wheel loom for continuity and taken all the electrical connectors off and reseated.
All I can think now is maybe the clockspring, or a short somewhere else?

Any idea?

I may have to give up on this and get it booked in to my local indy.

Disconnect battery for a few mins and this usually sorts its out.
It’s a strange fault linked to the actual control unit behind the screen. The buttons are sending a signal but the main brain isn’t operating.

Another weird RRS issue!

Tried this and still the same.
It's just had a new main battery on, battery was disconnected for over an hour.
