Started to develop a high pitch screech on accelerating up to certain revs then stops, loads of power, no faults showing, car drives ok,

Will cost nothing, but check for broken exhaust manifold stud first, as I believe it used to be a bit of issue giving that sort of noise, manifolds used to warp as well, not saying that's your problem but worth a look.
