Power Steering Oil / RRS 2011 / ATF 1800

Dear Community
I just bought a RRS / 2011 in Santorini black. Inerior in Ivory. A beauty Wink
During the next days I will change all fluids.

A rookie question ;-(
I wil change as well the PS Oil. Some youtube channnels use Liqui Molly ATF 1800. I am not sure, is that according specs?

Thank a lot!

That is for the gearbox.

You want cold climate fluid which is LR provided and green. For steering

Granville may do an alternative

I have been using Castrol Transmax Z fluid for the vehicle, both for the power steering and ACE fluid since new and have not had a problem. I am not sure what Castrol Transmax Z fluid name goes under overseas.

I also used it in my Discovery 2 which had ACE also.

For the amount of times it's changed, I don't see why one doesn't just use the correct stuff from LR - cold climate PAS fluid. Yeah, it's a few quid more but it's not being changed very often and it's the right stuff for the job. Probably spend more time looking for cheaper alternatives on ebay than is saved on the price of the litre of oil. Laughing 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yes, that's my feeling too for the PAS and Transfer box.

May as well use the correct stuff, considering how often its changed

I found that I could not buy the LR cold climate fluid from the local dealers here. I buy Castrol Transmax Z in 20l containers. I use the same fluid in my Honda transmission.
