A little oddity I discussed with the dealer this morning but they weren't sure either. Just thought I'd pose it to see if anyone else has experienced it.
Click on SatNav and it says 'login to your account'. Annoying as I logged in only a week before, but ok. So I put in my password and it says "Sorry, there's a problem at our end, please try later". I try later, try in different locations, always the same. So I connect the car to my home wifi or even my phone hotspot, and it logs in straight away. After that it functions perfectly.. until the next time.
The browser works fine so the sim is clearly ok, and I get journey updates on the app, status info as well as being able to remote lock from the app so comms seem fine too.
It's asif the satnav won't use the sim to log in to the server but everything is fine after that.

Yep, happens to me regularly and a real pain as the password is extra long and complicated. Software states the password is saved but still have to enter manually.

Was talking to JLS customer care regarding InControl renewal and mentioned this in passing, they took a look online and saw that the software and TCU had not updated, advised to book appointment with local dealer. In with them next week.

Ah - that's good to hear. Thanks.
The tech I saw today reckoned the software may be out of date. I hit the update button and it said no updates available but then it said that when I was trying to sort issues getting the app to connect when I got the car They changed something on the server and suddenly I was able to pull down a TCU update.
So maybe there is another update available and JLR just have to make it available for the vin.
It has to go back in a few weeks for, of all things, a noisy tonneau cover (petty but annoying) and they said they'd try to force an update then.
On the upside, he did agree it was noisy - I expected a fight on this one so was pleasantly surprised. 2021 L494 D300MHEV Autobiography

I should add: there is major development going on behind the scenes for InControl at the server side and it has presented unresolvable issues, so much so that they comped me a free subscription to Remote Premium till January because I was not able to renew without Secure Tracker which I do not want. They offered this without me asking. She said they are aware of multiple issues and it will take a while to resolve. My software cannot even display the date of the last update, just reads "Unavailable"
