Range Rover Sport L494 Insurance

Hi,

Any pointers on which company to approach regarding insuring a 2022 L494 Range Roger Sport P400e.

Am based in London.

Cheers,

Hi,

Try LR insurance.

SWMBO has her Defender D250 with them.

Pay monthly, rolling contract and the cheapest we could find.

I would suggest not bothering with LV. You get all the way through the quote (inputting all your details etc) and then they say that they don't insure Range Rovers! Unless their policy has changed... Robin

There's always a lag between insurer's behaviour and reality. RRSs are some of the least stolen cars in the UK now, it's just that this takes a year or two to creep into the stats and flow down to the premiums. And of course some firms are slower than others or else decide they have too many SUVs on the books and tweak premiums to dissuade us and get more Audi A3s instead.

In my experience, the huge range of factors involved mean everyone pays a different amount and a great insurer for me may be ridiculous for you.
Hence there's no substitute for calling round and contacting some independent brokers directly.
For me, I'm with Admiral on a multicar policy. The whole family is on it, inc my youngest's flat, so there's some decent discounts to be had if that's an option. It's annual so I haven't had a full years price yet but I calculated it to be around £900 based on what I'm paying for the rest of this year.

Out of curiosity I did a meercat search to see how it looks out there.
There is one firm at £1090 which aligns with what Admiral are charging me but it's not a policy I'd be happy with as it's telematics. Other close ones don't have things like windscreen cover so they're out too. The first policy I would consider is £1,455 so it looks like the multicar policies really do give some good discounts! 2021 L494 D300MHEV Autobiography

Ive been with privilege for the last 2 years around £700 for me and my wife on the L494.

Just had my renewal through - £430!!!!

Must be the first time in 10 years my insurance has gone down.

Use comparison sites, Go Compare, Comparethemarket etc Don't just use one as I found, same car, same cover, same company, different prices Big Cry Range Rover Sport (gone): Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S: Range Rover Fifty P400e
