England 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Lux Orkney Grey
Wet carpets in passenger footwell

Exactly that - the passenger footwell of our 2012 Sport was suddenly awash.

Removing the panel under the dash revealed an aircon drain pipe that had mysteriously disconnected itself, causing condensate to be dumped straight into the footwell.

It's a pretty flimsy set up and really just a failure waiting to happen. I gently teased a length of wire through the drain hose to make sure it wasn't blocked (it wasn't), and then pushed the hose back onto the plastic drain spigot, securing it with a cable tie.

I guess that because it's quite a loose push fit, over time the little rubber drain house had gradually slipped off the spigot.

I managed to get the carpet pretty much dried out, and all now seems to be well.

Jack
