Range Rover Sport L320 3.0 sdv6 No compression

Hello, first of all I would like to apologize for my English. I am Austrian and rarely speak English.
Regarding my question. I bought a 2012 Range Rover Sport L320 sdv6 3.0 diesel with a coolant leak. When checking, the mechanic said the leak was in the water pump. What I didn't know was that the battery was old and no longer took a charge. This caused the alternator to break. The coolant loss was manageable up to that point. After the car went to the mechanic and he read out the error (the fuse on the battery cable had blown) the car was transported to my house. There I replaced the fuse, installed a new battery and checked the coolant. To my surprise, the water ran through. Like the hose has come loose from the water pump. I made the mistake and started the engine. No compression. Camshaft rotates. No strange noises in the engine. I was told to check the engine control times. It is entirely possible that the wet timing belt slipped. Any resulting damage was ruled out because the engine did not fire. My question is. How can I check the timing without removing the engine? How do I reset the engine control times? Which tools do I need? Every workshop rejected the order. The Land Rover dealer also refused. He doesn't do anything motorically. So I have to repair it myself or try to sell the car with a broken engine.

I think initially I would check that the timing belt has not snapped, and the pistons have clouted the valves etc. although you do say the camshaft turns or do you mean the crankshaft?

Cheers

The timing belt is OK. Engine was turned by hand by the mechanic. Crankshaft is not blocked. When starting, you can see through the oil inlet cover that the camshaft is rotating. On the other hand you can hear the camshaft turning.

So does the engine actually start or just spin over? Your post heading says no compression, have you actually done a compression test.

The engine spins. The mechanic said we can hear that there is no compression. A compression test was not done. No workshop wanted to do it. Reason too complex and therefore too expensive. I couldn't carry out a compression test myself because I didn't have the data. How much pressure should be.
