Warranty recommendations

My 2022 p400e will be 3yo in February 2025 and I’ve had only minimal issues with it, none related to the EV battery/drivetrain. I’ve had it since new and It’s only done about 17k miles so I’ve decided to keep it for another year. I’m starting to look at a warranty to cover at least the main, pricier things that might go wrong once the manufacturer’s warranty expires, so can anyone recommend which warranty company is best for actually paying out claims. Thanks

Hi, I can recommend Warranty Direct. I’ve been with these for 4 years I think and have had 4 warranty claims all authorized it’s no hassle really. One claim was expensive (turbo oil leak) and they did scrutinize the service history but still paid out as there were no issues with the history. I do think they would have tried to wriggle out if there were holes in the service history. They have paid out more than I have paid in cover so all good so far. Even the renewals are good , rising by £100 ish every year even though I have had claims.

As per the other post on this I have heard great things about Warranty Wise, there is a video about to come out on Harry's Garage about this, as he got stung by a poor JLR warranty on his Jag.

As per the other post Laughing

Warranty Wise are a horrific company to deal with. Everything is wear/tear, or a non covered part

He shot himself in the foot because he bought the wrong (select) warranty. He then mentions in the same video that he’s shortly to do an interview with his channel sponsor warranty wise, who seem utterly awful. Doesn’t take Einstein to put 2 + 2 together on this one and I’m sure Harry will have the six grand floating about to fix his Jag. Whistle

The Harry / Warranty Wise video annoyed me. He's always been a very honest reviewer of cars (and his farming page is also pretty informative), but his obvious advertorial for Warranty Wise was a step in the wrong direction. Plenty of comments to that affect below his video, I note. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
