So I got my warranty direct renewal through today. It has gone up by £600 to nearly £1800 so I won’t be renewing this year. I’ve had more than my moneys worth so I’m not complaining having the warranty in place for the past few years. I can only imagine that the car is coming up to 10 years old now so it’s too much of a risk for them. Anyway I’ll continue getting the car serviced as per LR schedule and by my LR specialist JAS and hope that the car lasts me for many more years to come.

My 2012 is in its 13th year. 162k+ miles. Is serviced on the dot and stuff dealt with as required. Maybe it'll make 200k, maybe it won't. But, frankly, these things are worth a few thousand at this age/mileage so you're in to banger-nomics.

Just enjoy what is now a throw-away car.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
