2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Adriatic Blue
This noise just started today

How do post a video of an engine noise.
It's like a very loud ticking that's gets faster and slower with the revs. There's no eml or loss in power

I've got a small vid as I say but how do I attach it here.
I tried to buy it must be to big a file and don't know how to cut it down.

File's to big and don't know how to cut it this is a pita.... why can't you just attach straight here.
I'm sure if somebody heard it they'd say that's such n such.

I put the code reader on but nothing comes up for that.

The guy I use is on holiday abroad.

What model RRS do you have a l320 or l494?

DiscoMikey is the man to speak to re engine issues/rebuilds etc

It might just be a noisy injector- so worth getting it listened to before scrapping the car.

TDV8s are pretty much one of the best engines JLR did.

Noise got worse and a pulley type noise when out local tonight so thought I should stop. Then within seconds it stopped and the battery light's now on.

Ah - potentially a simple fix if it’s just the pulley. Any local garage should be able to do that I’d have thought.

More knowledgeable peeps will no doubt follow up, but hopefully good news.
