Hi all

Steering Assist (i.e. Adaptive Cruise Control + Steering Assist) was a factory option introduced in 19MY for L494.

I'm looking for any 19MY+ owners that ticked the Steering Assist box that have it on their vehicle from the factory that could provide their VIN (or even better, if they have an IIDTool, just their name).

My L494 does not have it enabled unfortunately and there have been a number of owners wanting to solve this.

To figure out the CCF setting needed to enable it for those that did not get it enabled from the factory, the GAP IIDTool team need a starting point to compare to vehicles without it as the setting is currently unknown.

Were you able to activate steering assist with the gap iid tool in the end?

Not yet. It turns out talking further with the GAP diag team, we actually need a L494 owner with steering assist that also has at some point used an IIDtool so GAP can look up their CCF and see what is different.

If you exist, please come forward!

Adara over at fullfatrr possibly was able to activate it from his post/photos but he has yet to test whether it works

Hi mate, close. That one is LKA steering assist where lane keep will either push you back in the lane or vibrate the steering wheel to alert you (and indicate red on the instrument cluster you were over the line).

That is different to Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Steering Assist where the car is steering itself mostly by itself when cruise control is on, making automatic and constant minor adjustments. This is the one we want to turn on not the LKA steering assist. When it's on you get a green steering wheel icon below the lane and cruise icons in the bottom left hand corner of the instrument cluster.
