Wakey Wakey!

Hi,

Just looking for anybody with the same “feature” I’m noticing with my 24MY AB.

If I’m not using my car for a few days, it “goes to sleep” to preserve the battery - contact with Incontrol stops etc until I restart the car.

I haven’t used the remote app to schedule a wake-up (yet) as I don’t know when I’ll need the car.

ISSUE:- When it’s been asleep, it doesn’t like waking up.

It refuses to unlock when I approach unless I physically push the button on the remote or the button on the door.
It gives me warning messages (randomly):-
Cornering assistance not available.
Intelligent speed limiter not available
And others to do with driver assistance.

If I stop the car, get out, lock it then return to the car, everything clears and life is back to normal.

Has anyone else spotted anything similar? I’ve asked my dealer to have a look for any FSA’s or TIB on this, as an early 24MY owner, I’m not sure how many of the population have experienced this, or even noticed.

Regards

I have had occasional message after it had been left for a few days but I put it down to battery.

When not used every day I put on Lithium XS CTEK and not had issues since. May be related to low battery?

My 2015 AB also goes into sleep mode after around 4 days to save battery power apparently. Bit of a pain as you can’t use the remote heating function when the car is asleep. I only found out a few weeks ago about the wake up timer a few weeks ago (after 7 years of ownership) and have been using that with no problems. The only issue with this is that you can only set the wake up timer up to 48 hours after the last start of the engine so if you forget to set it after 2 days of use then you can’t. Ridiculous I know. It doesn’t make a difference if the car is in charge either it still goes into sleep mode when on charge too which again doesn’t make any sense at all about saving battery power. To me it should go into sleep mode when the car detects low power in the battery.
