Had an update on my order that was placed at the end of Nov 22 for the P440e Autobiography with extras in Firenze..

I was informed on Sat the 6th Jan 24, after going in and pushing the dealer, that build date for what is now a P460e Autobiography with extras, was claimed to be April 24 for a delivery date of some time in May 24.

To be honest, based on the lack of communication from the dealer and no official confirmation of any price rise I am at the point of cancelling and going for another motor but have difficulty coming to terms with that.

Tried the new Cayenne hybrid, nice to drive but doesn't feel anything special/different. Sat in the X5, got out quickly, hate the Merc's, Volvo, just no, Lexus, double no, so got a bit of a quandary.

Am thinking to dump the RRS hybrid route and just go and buy a 3 litre Diesel Defender R-Dynamic HSE and run that around for a couple of years. 2023 D350 FIRST EDITION, SANTORINI WITH CLOUD/EBONY

Like yourself I’d P440e Dynamic SE on order. Hardly any correspondence with the dealer, with regards to the delivery date. After a significant price increase and APR rises, I decided to cancel my order last year. I managed to get a cancelled order D300 Defender R Dynamic HSE with several extras on it. Really happy with the car great on the roads, and even better off-road. I’m sure you wont regret it, if you decide on this option.

Well, cancelled my order for the P440e Autobiography, finally, and decided to stick to a diesel motor for now so bought a 23 D350 First Edition in Santorini with cloud/ebony interior with 9k on it so thats me sorted for a couple of years or until I get bored. 2023 D350 FIRST EDITION, SANTORINI WITH CLOUD/EBONY

Ordered my P550e in December 2023 and have now received a confirmed build slot. Estimated delivery in May/June!

Any more information on state of things in January?

I've been considering a new order (plug-in hybrid) but there are a lot of P440 and P460s coming up on Autotrader (or LR approved used), used and brand new.

The prices obviously affected by colour/extras but I still see some big differences even factoring that in. A super low miles 2022 P440 Dynamic SE seems to vary from £78k to £92k.

I assume geography coming into it and better deals perhaps in areas where insurance is terrible.
Companies will probably be looking for un-registered brand new.

I'm in a very rural location and so far existing cars haven't been affected much by insurance.

Like someone else here I've ruled out almost every option (Porsche, Audi, BMW etc.) and TBH if my Discovery 4 wasn't falling to pieces I'd keep that for now until mess settles down!
I'm not a huge fan of the new Defender.
