Oh right, that's an option.

I've had my ctek charger for a few years after a bought a newish VW Golf with an agm battery. Needed it to keep the power up when changing the rear brake pads, electric handbrake.

I never knew you could charge a battery, still connected to the vehicle, with the ctek.

All a matter of personal choice where you want to fit the connector, where I have mine located personally I find most convenient for me, I do not need to open the bonnet, unlock the car, remove the towing socket cover etc. assuming you have towbar electrics of course or even have to bend down to connect it.
