Air Mass Trunking

Hi Everyone

First time post here.

I have a RRS 2013 (2005 - 2013) 3 litre diesel HSE.

Had it six months and the other day it went into the Restrictive Performance Limp Mode.

Managed to get the AA out to take a look and they have come back with the following in their report:

"Error sporadic.Air mass trunking , worn on clip temp remove re fit and cable tie in situ .Mbr has brc and requires new trunking and clip fitted asap"

Is this a straight forward job to do, is it something a layman can do or does it require a mechanic? The reason i ask, is every garage at the moment seems to be fully booked for the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Thanks in advance.

No he couldnt fix it roadside due to parts etc. Instead attached a cable tie to the part to temporarily hold it in place.
