How to fix the Access height intermittent fault?

Every few days when i try to select access height the car goes to extended height mode.
This usually clears after 3-4 attempts
It's a 1st world problem but is there an easy fix?
My car doesnt have auto height adjustment i have to select it from near the gearshift

On the L320 RRS, this error was usually caused by the air suspension exhaust valve sticking. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If it attempts to go into access, drops then raises to max height then there is an issue with the standard height in that the car is sitting too low and when you select access the car drops too much and then goes to default which is to extend to protect the car.

You could try and adaptation but ideally you need GAP IID to do this. Some other diagnostic computers might be able to do this too but GAP allows you to see the measurements and make adjustments etc.

I would check the exhaust valve on the compressor under the spare wheel. Simply undo cover (metal clips all way around) for access. Mine did this when I first bought it. It'll have what looks like white mould on it. Simple fix & cheap for once. Too many horror stories making people worry about nothing. Hope this helps

Don't think so they're only like £15 online, suspension compressor silencer it just looks like a gold sparkly bolt really. Obviously could be a different fault but worth try mate

Little bit late maybe but they can be cleaned. I had a similar issue with mine. Wouldn’t go into access mode it would start going down then go into extended mode. Took the silencer off and cleaned it in isopropyl alcohol and it goes into access mode no problem now.
