Wheel and tyre size advice please

Dear RRS gurus, I have 22” wheels with 45 profile tyres. It’s ok but I feel sharp ridges, potholes, etc more than I would like. Tyres are reaching end of life and I am thinking about getting smaller wheels for deeper rubber. I am hoping those with experience can help me. Will I notice a difference if I go 21”? What about 20 or even 19? Is there good tyre choice for these sizes and how will it just look bad (the 22s do look nice)? Help please. Many thanks.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I think the smallest wheels LR have fitted for a while are 20 inch. I doubt anything smaller will fit over the brakes these days.

Going from a 45 on 22in to a 55 on 20 inch would, assuming the width is the same, give a broadly similar circumference and thus the speedo should be the same as now. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for that. How big a difference to the ride? Any experience of that? If it were sent a very appreciable difference it might not be worth it. Any thought? Cheers.
