Hi guys, I'm the new owner of a 2010 HSE RRS which I am not sure if I have bluetooth. I can't see a Land Rover device when trying to pair, but I do have the buttons on the steering wheel (which I saw on another thread suggests I should have it).

If I do have it, is there a "normal culprit" I should look at replacing?

Can anyone confirm please?

I know I can't do audio streaming on this model. I'm a android user, and I can see that I could get an IPOD bluetooth adaptor and tracks etc would appear on the screen. Is there a "favoured" one that people use, is it any good, or do people just go down the easier bluetooth/Aux connection?

bluetooth unit is in the boot, on right hand side

If you remove it from the bus loop, it will stop your tunes and data going to the LCD display

The Bovee 1000 adapter seems a popular choice for streaming music with the MY10/11 cars, although not exactly cheap I don't think.

I also think you may find the actual bluetooth unit is a integral part of the IAM unit not separate in the boot of the facelift cars, or it is on mine at least.

Yes I have seen the Bovee that works with the ipod interface - and its fairly pricy (it was why I asked the question). There are cheaper ipod/bluetooth adaptors on amazon but some say they definitely dont work with a car ipod interface. Bit of a gamble. I might just go with the USB/Aux interface as I know that will work..

These work well, plugs into ipod adaptor, stream to it via Bluetooth, it even passes on the song names to the screen

USB only works with a USB drive with music on it. I’m using the AUX jack with a Bluetooth adapter for now. I plan to get the Invery unit (update to the Bovee) in the near future and stick it to the lid on the inside to keep it out of the way. I just bought an Invery unit. The playback throught it is very ordinary compared to a hard wired connection and the song titles are not displayed. Cannot recommend spending money on this device.

Where did you buy it from and is it in the right mode for your phone ?, there switchable andriod/iPhone.

Mines works great, sound is spot on and displays song names.

Are you on iPhone or Android? It has switchable modes. I chose it over the Bovee because it uses an HD Bluetooth Codec. Bovee is just SBC. I use apple products. I have tried all the settings on the device. But to no avail.
In summary just another device that does not work properly.

In that case part of the audio quality issue will be that Apple doesn't support the HD aptX codec which Invery use. I'm guessing you'll be defaulting back to the Classic, low res, high latency SBC codec.

For an Iphone you'll want to look for a device that supports the AAC codec to get good quality audio.

The aptX HD codec in the Invery device does 24bit audio and high bit rates. It should be easily as good as a wired connection in an automotive environment. The quality limitation would almost certainly be the source on that configuration, not the Bluetooth connection.

Maybe Invery should spell out that you won't get HD audio using an Apple device.

2010 RRS.
I recently bought the INVERY and use it with an android phone, plugs into the ipod connector under centre armrest so no visible wires.
Good sound and displays track names.
Make sure you get the model for Land Rover and have it on the correct mode.
