ARB Replacement

Have been told that my rear ARB is leaking, and requires replacement. I've been warned that this is a labour intensive job, as the body has to come off Shocked

Would be good to know if anyone has gotten this replaced before, and if so:

1. How much did it cost? (I'm looking to get it done at an indie)
2. With the body off the car - is there anything else I should be replacing? (Car is at 120,000 miles)

ARC?

ARC's can be got on eBay (proper) for about £750. I've had my done and it certainly wasn't a body off job but it was £1100 or so in all iirc.

Anti roll bar?

I guess that’s not too bad! I wonder why I’ve been told it’s a body off job?

The body needs to be lifted a small amount from the chassis at the rear to allow access to remove\replace the bar. Some work but no where near as much work as a full body off.
IF the mounting bolts are stuffed, then maybe full body off to drill them out. Pete

If they do lift the body off, consider the fixed brake lines that run along the chassis. They're not expensive but basically need the body lifting to do them.

Also, have the crossover pipe on the rear of the engine checked for corrosion. That's an expensive item (£400, I think) but is a body off job (or at least an awful lot easier and quicker with the body off).

Rather depends on how long you intend to keep the vehicle, really. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Does anyone know if this would be an MOT fail?
