Has any lucky RRS owner considered adding an additional anti theft immobilizer or other protection system (ghost 2, starline i96, obd locker, steering wheel locker, …) and which one would you recommand ?

The Ghost 2 immobiliser is excellent … ensure it is wired to the gearbox wiring rather than start inhibit..
I know an auto electrician who works for Sytner JLR West london, all he does is removes Ghost2 units as JLR cant sell the cars with them fitted, also cause odd faults to happen on the CanBus
you don't get a discount if you have this fitted over and above the Tracker Pro which comes with the car

According to the dealer, this was perhaps the case with the previous generation, but the new generation has an improved tracker system. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any further information on the subject...
All trackers have the same fault though, that is the Police do not consider finding a vehicle worthy enough of their time/effort.
As long as the insurance companies are happy to continue paying out for 'lost' vehicles, and at the same time not asking the powers that be be why the Police do not do anything to recover stolen vehicles, especially when they are told where they are, it is pointless fitting a tracker.
Stopping the car being started is really the best method of car theft prevention. It won't stop your car being lifted, but neither then would a tracker, and once it's inside a container, it can be safely regarded as lost, whatever measures you have taken.

I am a corporate insurance broker and in the last 2 week, I have seen two notifications from insurers (including a major insurer) saying that thefts of RR & RRS is going off the chart (my words not theirs) and as a result the excess on fleet policies are rising on these vehicles substantially and many other insurers are saying immobilisers MUST be fitted in addition to the Cat5 RR pro system.
I also drive a RRS (2021 plate) and my company fleet is saying I must have a Ghost 2 fitted and if not, I wont be able to get cover!
Another insurers wanted a gate behind the car etc. I am due to order next year for new car and I really dont think I will get another RRS despite how nice it is - just too much of a risk
I had Ghost 2 installed the day I got it. Works well so far and prevents gear selection if sequence isn't used.
Well thats interesting because I had a Ghost 2 installed in my new RRS a couple of months ago and I questioned how the remote preheating would work given that the it was connected to the engine start. I was told that this was the only option so grudgingly I accepted that I wouldnt be able to preheat the car in the future. Back to the installer I think
Otherwise my Ghost 2 seems to work well although I have not yet been able to connect it to the Ghost phone app

Did you manage to get any fitted? I'm thinking to go for the Starline i96 has its got added features (Call alert on phone, put in service mode via phone app and also honk the horn if someone tries to start the car without the pin sequence compared) to the Ghost 2
