United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black
ACE pipes

Hi Folks,
Just purchased a 2012 RR Autobiography Sport however just found out I need front ACE pipes (right). I’m having no luck locating any. Does anyone know where I can get any…would also buy second hand ones! Part number LR015144….thx

Can you see where it’s leaking ? If so you could cut out the leaky section and repair it ? Google ACE pipe repair Range Rover Sport and see what comes up.

I’m not really mechanically minded so need to get someone to check if that’s possible! I have googled it but not much joy out there as far as I can see…was hoping someone on here who would know more than me could point me in the right direction!

Here’s the repair on a Disco 2. I’m sure if you call a specialist near you they should be able to get you running around until new pipes come in.

Have tried a few though don’t think any mechanics here in Northern Ireland want to go near the pipes and do this!!

They absolutely can help, however you need to go in to them with exactly what you need. In your case it would be a section of ACE pipe and ask them to make up some compression fittings to enable the repair.

Unfortunately you’re not sufficiently knowledgeable about where the leak is, or how to use the compression fittings (not a criticism, just an observation).

I’m not sure what diameter the ACE pipes are, but it’s not rocket science to shape some kunifer tube to the existing spec.

I had some oil cooler pipes made up for an Aston Martin out of stainless steel. £100 for the pipe, custom bending and fittings. Aston wanted £700 for mild steel which would corrode like the originals.

A lot of stuff can be re-manufactured if you’re prepared to spend some time learning and investigating.
