Like a good many of you on the forum, I’ve been frustrated by the long delays and the total lack of information from the dealer/JLR. I ordered a p440e AB in May last year when the estimated delivery time stood at 6-9 months. Since then I’ve heard nothing. Dealer claims not to know anything and JLR say speak to your dealer. What with price increases, spec changes, insurance issues, further delays and, to cap it all, dealers selling brand new RRS at hugely inflated prices, I’ve had enough. I don’t think I actually want the car anymore.

JLR have just got back to me and said there is an 18-24 month delay on p440e ABs from point of order. The JLR website however suggests this is 9-12 months. No wonder there’s so much confusion.

Incidentally, been around a number of other dealers over the last few days. On average, factory orders are taking 4 months

That wouldn't surprise me at all

I don’t think they can sell inflated unless it’s used. So if an owner agrees to sell back at point of purchase then they can sell on for money above list.
