Done now number plate fitted with light that plugs in to tow socket as if I have a trailer on won’t need light on as you won’t see it

Presumably you've had to disable the rear parking sensors as part of this project. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

There’s just one that I’m going to move into the horizontal box

Sorry but that looks absolutely awful and really not necessary - however I do accept it is your car and you are free to do what you want. 07MY RRS TDV6

Spare is too big to go underneath the back where it should if I had a roof rack it could go up there but that would cause height issues in some car parks
But as you say it’s not to everyone’s taste but for me it’s fine and after next weekends off-roading I will know if it needs any modifications before I paint it.

I'd have thought it would need some beefing up as the spare is heavy and any bouncing is going to put a lot of bending moment through it. As you say, after some off roading you'll have a better idea. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

There is a vertical bar that sits on the cross bar which holds the weight and locks it in place
