L494 5.0 Supercharged correct oil.

I'll shortly be collecting a new to me L494 5.0 Supercharged. Going to be servicing it my self so I'm looking at buying a kit from the internet.

The oil being supplied is 5w20 by Rock Oil. Is this any good? Have others used it?

Thanks in advance.

Never heard of Rock Oil, but 5w20 has been superceded by 0w20.

Any good brand that conforms to the spec (STJLR.51.5122) will do - Ravenol, Fuchs, LiquiMoly, Mobil, Motul, etc.: https://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-3571-jaguar-s...e-oil.aspx --

On my l494 supercharged I went to my local independent Land Rover dealer and they gave me Morris multivis FB 5W-20 oil.
Hope this helps

L320 and L494 5.0L up to 2014 5w20, L494 from 2015 viscosity changed to 0w20 however can use 0w20 in earlier cars.

Cheers
