To further answer the OP, the airbags are crosslinked anyway but in various off road modes the system tried to keep the wheels on the floor. If dynamic response ARB are fitted, they act as if there is no ARB at all at low speeds (up to 11km/h, I think) to give maximum articulation but will lock solid in cross-slope situations to give roll stability and reduce the risk of a roll over. The system uses accelerometers and a yaw sensor to help determine what type of terrain you're on to best work the roll bars.
