Greetings from a new member, does anyone know whether there is a scan tool dedicated to Land Rovers and specifically to an L494 that in addition to the obvious uses be able to make the changes that the handbook says can only be done by main dealer eg. stopping the door mirrors from folding every time the car is locked?

I've got a RRS and have had a few problems with dpf warnings.

LR Assist came out a couple of times as the car went into limp mode but they found almost no
soot in the dpf and just cleared/reset everything, never really got to the bottom of things. I wanted to be able to
check this on a regular basis.

Definitely recommend the GAP IID tool. You can do so much with it.

Just one word of caution, check where you buy it from.

I bought mine directly from Gap and if I remember correctly, I had to pay an additional import tax when it arrived!

I looked at buying direct and yes there is duty to pay which brings it to about the same as buying new here £440

they do a trade up service from a None BT to BT which might work but None BT still fetch about £150 so maybe not,
that one on the bay of fleas you may as well buy new or as suggested bid a low offer.
they do come up on here if you want to wait, about £300
