£4K for turbo replacement?

Hi all,

I’ve just been quoted £4000 inc VAT to have both turbos replaced on my TDV8. They have said they will only use genuine parts given the amount of labour involved.

Is this a reasonable quote?

As genuine turbos are something like £1300 each, it doesn't sound too bad a price to me. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Sounds cheap for 2 genuine LR turbos

About right for 2x OEM units though Thumbs Up

Although it was late 2019 when I did mine, I seem to recall LR wanted over £3k for both, but I bought the genuine items direct from Borg Warner for a little over £2k with trade discount. Both prices inclusive of VAT.

This is just the turbos, not fitting.

£1,147 + VAT for a genuine recon as of this morning
Plus a new oil feed pipe, gaskets/nuts/studs etc, and new oil + filter
