2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

hi folks my mate has a hawkey diagnosis kit for his Td5 discovery and it has been used on my old P38 he going to sell his td5 but had offered me the hawkey diagnosis kit and was wondering would it be useful for me having a RRS or won't it be compatible

iCarsoft v2 will do the codes cheaply enough.
Gap2D does everything, but is over 2 times the price
