United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
advice needed

Hi all,

Looking at buying another RRS 2.7 2006, but a little cautious.
The car itself is mechanically sound, drives nice, gear changes smooth and air suspension all working as it should.

But... its got around 201,000 miles on the clock and the asking price is £4000. Its owned by my mechanic friend, so i know its been looked after, but always wary at that kind of mileage.

Has anybody owned a RRS with 200k+ on the clocks? I know generally if you look after the car, it'll look after you, but surely it will cease to live much longer? Any thoughts appreciated.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

This the wrong thread for a discussion but there is a thread where people post their mileages.

One there is a 2.7 with over over 378k miles on the clock with a couple of others with star ship mileages. So they can do big miles if they're looked after.

What is your intended use? How many miles per trip? Short trips, long trips? Every day or once a month? If it's been looked after and you're prepared to do the same and you avoid short trips or long periods of inactivity, it should do good service for some time to come.

Use it as an unloved hack job and it'll probably let you down by Easter. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
