Rear view camera image quality

The rear view camera images on screen on my April 2015 ABD are very grainy and not very clear (even after cleaning the lens) is this normal for the year, I previously had a 2017 discovery sport HSE dynamic and the rear view camera was crystal clear 2015 RRS Autobiography Dynamic Corris Grey Black Roof

Mine is the same.. (2014) I have wondered if an android upgrade head unit would work? Has anyone had any experience?
