Afs self levelling headlights

Evening all, when switching headlights on they do their “dance” fine then both go fully up & stay there ! On couple of occasions one has stayed right down & the other one fully raised. Local Indy said need new headlights . Got a friend who is breaking an rrs soon with the same lights so would these simply plug & play or would they need some sort of setup ?? Could there be any thing else which controls the lights causing problem?? Thanks in advance

Yes, they should work as straight swaps. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I also gave up and have bought a new Hella set for around £540, delivered with all new bulbs, so fingers crossed.

I plugged it in and the main lamp is pointing down and won’t move? Censored Censored Big Cry Big Cry

Ive read the thread about the rotor arm being bottomed out, but I wouldn’t have thought it would be the same on a new one?

Also, mine does say UK!

Any ideas? Previously owned 1999 Disco 2 TD5

Gone 2007 TDV8 RRS1 in Buckingham Blue.

How do know if the knocking at the front has been sorted?

You can hear the knocking at the rear better

Oh Censored always been a concern that it could be something on vehicle causing the problem & not the lights themselves 🤷 yep payed 540 each delivered, not going to go any further till can find out more. & to cap it all good ole suspension fault & normal height only fault this morning 🙄😔 😂😂

Mick, how healthy is your battery?

Over the years I have found that many faults seem to rear their heads when the battery is getting tired!

Battery seems fine, certainly spins over quick enough but suspicious of height sensors now
