Might be worth being a little more specific in what you actually want the fuse to protect.

It's more to do with the thickness of the cables between the battery and Anderson connector.

You may want something like this to hold the fuse in

This has me thinking about a power connection on my roof rack(waterproof obviously) instead of numerous cables going to battery, I want to put a few different light bars etc on the front and back of the roof rack.

https://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/ or http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/ will have what you need for that - put a high value fuse (just lower than the rating of the cable, which should be higher than the rating of your total load - they have calculators) by the battery, run a feed to the rear and then fit one of the standard blade fuse fuse boxes to fuse individual feeds. 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S |

Is there a power feed already in the boot area i could use? I know theres a cigarette socket in boot but not sure on how much the load can take, i also have a towing connection, Could this feed be used or tee off it with a junction box? |

That's not my job. You need a auto electrician. |

Thanks Andy, Is this the power feed to the towing socket, And do you think 30a would be enough to power a few light bars? This could save me having to feed new cables from the battery if so. Cheers |

Easy enough to calculate, just add wattage of the bulbs together and divide by 12 (volts) will give you the total amp output, if my calculations are right 30 amps should give you around 360 watts. It is however a long time ago since I last went to school.
