Looking to purchase a 2012 RRS HSE luxury is there any advice on things to look out for , also noticed that some of the 2013 models dropped in tax am I better looking at those, bear in mind I will do low mileage so will take a few years to recoup the price difference but is it a better engine to go for?

I bought a MY12 in 2016, the car has been bulletproof except the usual wear and tear items, brakes, tyres, bushes and such. And the most daring move I bought it sight unseen! It was a from a LR dealer in Scotland and had it delivered to Surrey. The car was loaded beyond a spec I could find in England.

Check it has the full and complete service history, depending on miles the belts and such have been replaced, take it on the motorway and see if it has an front end wobble, front end shutter when braking?, drive it slowly with the windows down, any squeaks?

Mine is still under full LR warranty to the end of the year and I’ve got a fab indie not far. Prefect combination!
