[Wanted] 2010 brembo front and rear calipers wanted

Hi can anyone point me in the right direction or know anyone selling the brembo calipers front and rear that will fit my sport my2010 the standard breaks on my tdv8 are poor especially when over 50mph i cant believe the brembos were not standard tbh. Any advice welcome, I have seen powerful uk do a front set for £995 but i would prefer front and rear plus brembo originals if possible? Yes r does anyone have this powerful uk set up and can you advise on quality etc… thanks

L/R have never fitted Brembo Calipers to the rear, even on the SVR's they are TRW on the rear, you could try one of the Big Brake upgrades from the likes of JE Engineering but they are not cheap.

That might explain Col why powerful uk just have the front kit on there website, I thought i saw some sort of brembo callipers on the rear somewhere of a l320 i will try and find a picture but might be the wrong model now you day that. Hoping to find someone scrapping one so i can swap everything over thats needed and ideally paint the calliper black or drop on one black but then im probably pushing my luck. Seen a few with 4 pot and some 6 pot am i right thinking its the 6 pot ones?

My old TDV8 had the 4pot brembo's but with Range Rover decal branding, my 5.0L S/C has 6pot brembo's, if you run 19" wheels by any chance you are very limited with genuine rim's that fit over the 6pot's.

Well I have 21 inch wheels so have enough room, the powerful uk kit might be the best and easiest option with it having the bigger guards and all fittings with them, oh and its 6 pot. I would prefer for some feedback from others that have gone with them before i throw £995 away. Surely a few of this forum have fitted them?

Managed to get myself a set of front brembo callipers of ebay but theres no clips that hold the pads in or the studs, Do they come with new pads as a set or does anyone know where i can set some from?

I think you might need this fitting kit.

Interesting as thought the TDV8 had the 4pot brembos as standard fitting, it just happens that some have the Land Rover branding on them and some had Brembo but they are the same caliper, unless they reverted back to a different make of caliper on the final run-out TDV8 facelift model.

Cheers

Hi Col apparently brembo on tdv8 was an optional extra i was told but you would think the weight of the tdv8 then they would mean they would come as standard. Do you think these 4 pot brembos will be much better braking then the standard brakes i have? Or would i need the 6 pot brembos to see a difference because if theres not a noticeable difference with just 4 pot ones i may sell them on and try and source the bigger 6 pots.

Sorry to Hijack here but it might also help you. Will these Brembo calipers mount on the original 360mm discs and hoses etc or is there a carrier / pipe mod needed?

6 pot Brembos require 380mm discs, however the backplates/splash guards on my 2010 did not need changing.

The calipers fit to where the smaller caliper carriers bolted, so carriers removed and not used.

Dave did you go from 4 pot brembos? Im trying to work out if its worth fitting these 4 pot brembos or selling them and sourcing some 6 pots. Not sure if theres a big difference in stopping power, I currently have the standard callipers on my tdv8 cant believe it came with them the brakes are terrible.

Not sure what you have fitted already, but the 6 pot conversion is, at least for me, a must if you like spirited driving.

Rather than finding ways to go faster, the ability to stop sooner and with more confidence surely is more beneficial.

The best mod I have made to both my RRS and D4 Commercial.

I have a tdv8 2010 with standard rubbish callipers, just bought 4 pot brembos i intend to have fitted but Im trying to find out if i will see much difference or should i sell these and go for the 6 pot brembos? I know bigger is always better 😃 but is it worth the extra cost or do people with 4 pot brembos think they have enough stopping power because the standard ones ate not fit for purpose on the tdv8 imo.

Not sure if you’ve gotten an answer, but I’m hoping to put some 4 pot Brembos on my 2011 TDV6 within the next few weeks. I know it’s not the TDV8, but it’s only a 25HP difference and not too far off with the weight. I also find the brakes to be a little lacking so hoping this will help a bit.

I missed a couple of questions last time round, so hopefully this might help.

Mine is a 2010 TDV8, it came with 4 pot calipers, but they were not the Brembo type. My friends 2007 model has the Brembo 4 pots, so I cannot see that the ones then fitted to mine were any less efficient than his.

I then fitted the 6 pot Brembos as fitted to the 5.0ltr petrol variant. The improvement is greatly appreciated.

Hope this helps.
