Battery keeps going flat

Hi,

Is there a common issue that causes the battery to drain.

I know on some older cars like MK2 golfs that the glove box & boot light is a common issue for flattening the battery, is these something similar on a 2010 RRS?

I have read the thread about YASU batteries failing and mine has one fitted but the AA man says its not showing issues of it failing.

TIA

Does yours have the split tailgate (the glass is openable separately from the main boot lid). If so, the switch is known to corrode and can cause a drain. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I see on another post that you have the split tailgate. So that might be worth a look. Also, you're looking for a spoiler trim piece. There is wiring behind the spoiler and if it's broken and letting water in, that might cause corrosion in a connector or similar. The connector for the heated rear glass in in there and known to corrode over time leading to non-working defrosting of the rear glass. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yes, the rubber switch to open the glass. It is known to corrode. Do a search on the forum and you'll find some how-to posts in there. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
