05 RRS Supercharged Radiator set

Sooo.

Hi Folks.

I'm not the owner of said beast but I do drive it from time to time and help out getting the maintenance sorted. I am a landrover owner too but a slower diesel D2.

Aaaanyway. So there has been some coolant leak in the past and last week I took it to a friend to see about getting the AirCon working. Yeah, um. No. Turns out to have a very bad noisy leak somewhere when some gas was added to the aircon system.

Further inspection found the aircon radiator thing was looking quite poorly, the intercooler is 'sagging' and I hate to think what state the radiator is in.

It all needs fixing I reckon. The owner agrees but looking around the various sales sites for parts shows many many options for those 3 bits. The plan is to source and order the parts and get them delivered to a garage to do the work. For many reasons. One of them is that it is the garage I use, but he's not done an RRS radiator set before.

I can give the VIN number too if needed, but it's a 2005 RRS V8 Auto Supercharged. (L320)

So could someone possibly let me know the combinations of bits I need. AirCon Condensor, Intercooler, Autobox oil cooler, water radiator.

I assume that all those bits are in there somewhere but when I last looked I didn't see all the bits I needed to see.

Thanks in advance.

The VIN has confirmed it's a 4.2 V8 SC (Power Unit Series - 4.2 V8 AJ Petrol [200AE])

The AC radiator for the 4.2SC and 4.4V8 is the same thing, JRB500141

For some reason for a while I thought it was a 4.4 SC, but there isn't such a thing is there lol Wink

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

that's correct.

4.4 NA
4.2 SC (Supercharged)

So you know what to buy now ?

I think the autogearbox cooler is part of the main rad

This is what I would buy.
I like cheap A/C cons. They all rot, so you may as well have cheap.
I was going to say buy a genuine coolant rad, but given the price difference and age of car you may as well have the cheap one!

Thank you Andy K Wink

I appreicate your clarification on the bits needed. This is just the sort of information I was after.

I've just got to order the parts now and plan a time to be able to get it done.

Cheers Wink

So I started getting this sorted today and found that Advanced Factors didn't have the stuff on their website, so rang them up and spoke to a nice chap and gave the link to the post here. Considering they are one of the site sponsors Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

He went off and found all the parts I needed, and it's now ordered and should be with me sometime in the next week or so. Parts have to be ordered in.

I took a trip yesterday in it. It took 3 litres of water before the trip and the aircon didn't work. So it was a lot more tiring than I would have liked and I waited until dark to make the return journey.

So I am eager for this to be sorted too Smile
